Buckthorn - Casara
Rhamnus crocea, R. californica, R. purshiana
The berris of R. crocea are edible cooked but can turn your skin red if eaten in quantities. The bark and berries of R. californica and R. purshiana can be used as a laxative. R. californica seeds can be dried and ground for coffee.
